It will remove pet hair from all surfaces with the motorized brush roll, and for wads of hair floating around you can use the crevice tool.
The big dirt container allows you to do quite a bit of vacuuming before it needs emptying – even if you have pets with long hair that shed a lot. The motor is powerful enough to deal with not just pet hair, but also other dirt pet owners are familiar with such as cat litter, wood shavings, sand, and soil.
Carpet
Because it is a handheld vacuum, it is of course designed for just spot cleaning your carpets. Although it is quite powerful and does a nice job cleaning carpets, it is not very convenient on large surfaces. It is very lightweight though, so you could use it to vacuum a carpeted staircase for example.
If you have small areas of low to medium pile carpets to vacuum, this could be a useful tool. However, vacuums this size don’t do well with thick carpets and doing many passes to clean large areas on such carpets would be strenuous.
